'Omega' is the twelfth album from supergroup, Asia, and their second since the reformation of the original members in 2006.
The veteran rockers enlisted producer, Max Paxman (Uriah Heep & Status Quo), to help create a spectrum of sound with added dynamics to an otherwise familiar vibe. While not a major departure from the band's classic style then, 'Omega' does surprise with the softer rock of "Emily" and the acoustic closing track, "Don't Wanna Lose You Now".
"Picking up nicely where their brilliant comeback release 'Phoenix' (2008) left off, 'Omega' is required listening for fans of this revered quartet's archetypal treatment of the progressive rock form.
