"There are few artists alive as iconic as Bruce Springsteen. Along with his troupe of musicians, The E Street Band, Springsteen revitalised rock n roll by returning it to the people, he became a critic's darling as well as an advocate for the common man.

Here is a short history of The Boss and the band which have had his back for the last few decades, starting with "Blinded by the Light", from the 1973 debut 'Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.' (the track which eventually found fame under Manfred Mann), and "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" from 'The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle' (also 1973), right through the genre defining "Born to Run", and one the most iconic albums in history, 1984's 'Born in the USA', here represented by the albums' title track, "Dancing in the Dark", "Glory Days" and of course the hauntingly beautiful "I'm on Fire".

In 1984, after 15 years together, Springsteen disbanded The E Street Band to record solo. They reformed in 1999 however, to rerecord tracks for a Bruce Springsteen best of and tour 2002 saw the band recording together again; creating the inspiring 'The Rising' and 'Magic'.

This 'Greatest Hits' also includes two live recordings; "Fire" and "Because the Night" (famously covered by Patti Smith) - and is an absolute must own."
