The Wild Trapeze

"After 15 years in the limelight as the frontman of American rockers Incubus, Brandon Boyd has stepped out on his own with his first solo effort 'The Wild Trapeze'. Teaming up with producer Dave Fridmann (MGMT, The Flaming Lips) Boyd expertly and creatively plays every instrument on the album. The voice is the same recognisable vocal force that drove Incubus to the heights of Rock 'n' Roll success, for this reason alone 'The Wild Trapeze' could quite comfortably fit into an Incubus based playlist. However musically it holds its own and pulls away from the Incubus style.

The album is intimate, acoustically driven, raw, artistically indulgent and a totally unpolished expression from Boyd's personal inner sanctum. Boyd himself describes the album as "a guy in a room surrounded by toys who has an undying enthusiasm for finding out what each toy does, and has been given full license to make as much noise as he pleases."

Standout tracks on the album include the first single "Runaway Train", "Courage and Control" and "Here Comes Everyone"."
