The music presented here is heavily percussive and effects-focused, although there are melodic undertones that do emerge occasionally.
Beaming their visionary strain of electronic music since 1991 by way of Rochdale, Lancashire, Sean Booth and Rob Brown are Autechre, one of the most fiercely adored and respected electronic acts of modern times.
Like Aphex Twin, Autechre were about as close to being experimental-techno superstars as the tenets of their genre and the limitations of their audience allowed. Through a series of full-length works and a smattering of EPs on Warp, Clear, and their own Skam label, Autechre have consistently garnered the praise of press and public alike.
Following on just a few short months after the duo's previous effort, the acclaimed 'Oversteps', 'Move of Ten' was issued as a so called "mini-LP". At around 50 minutes in length however it is an exceedingly generous dose of aural delights and features tracks that could easily stand alongside many of those found on the aforementioned 'Oversteps'. The music presented here is heavily percussive and effects-focused, although there are melodic undertones that do emerge occasionally.
