"'Favourite Fears' is the stunning debut album from Devonport five piece The Earlybirds; a quintet who have been friends since high school. Which, actually, wasn't that long ago. But don't let their youth fool you - these guys are more than capable of holding their own; having played alongside Kiwi rock heavyweights The Feelers, they are now set to embark on a tour with crowd favourites Opshop. And with the release of their first full-length album, 'Favourite Fears', The Earlybirds are about to rock your world.

Sitting somewhere between influences The Strokes and local heroes Midnight Youth, bandmates Filip Kostovich (vocals), Jared Aisher (bass), Sean Patterson (drums), Kane ter Veer and Mike Cannon (both guitar), have crafted an indie / pop / rock sound which can quite easily be placed alongside some of the best the country has to offer. Fast, rollicking, endlessly catchy and with three great singles leading the way ("I Killed the DJ", "Runaway", and "I Can't Live Without You"), having already received a 5 STAR review from Joanna Hunkin at TVNZ, and the video for "I Can't Live Without You" reaching the #1 spot on C4, 'Favourite Fears' may well be your new favourite album."
