"The mid nineties. Some say it was a period in which some of the greatest albums in the world were made. (And by some people I mean me.) Coming from the tail end of the crunchy guitar and ironic juxtaposition of grunge, and the electric blips of the appearance of techno, emerged a movement in rock which was honest, direct, catchy and uniquely mid-90s. While it hasn't clearly be defined (or indeed, named) in the annals of rock history - "College Rock" marks an era unlike any other.

'Semi-Charmed Life' is the first definitive collection of college rock tracks, featuring hits you will recognise if you were anywhere near a radio in the nineties. The Wallflowers open with "One Headlight", Everclear is here of course, as is Dishwalla's huge "Counting Blue Cars", Weezer show up as does Live and Radiohead, and, of course, what nineties compilation would be complete without Sublime?
