For many, he was the greatest lyric tenor of the 20th century: Fritz Wunderlich set high standards of interpretation with his natural-sounding, bright voice and intense singing style. An unprecedented career lay before him - a career that was sadly brought to a premature end by his early death due to a tragic accident.
