Mick Harvey is internationally renowned for his career with The Birthday Party, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, soundtrack and production work, plus his collaboration with PJ Harvey.
'Sketches From the Book of the Dead' is Mick Harvey's first album since 2007's 'Two of Diamonds'. It was written entirely by Harvey, and features 11 tracks recorded and mixed with David McCluney at Atlantis Sound, Port Melbourne, with additional recording at his own studio, Grace Lane. Mick Harvey plays most of the instruments on the album, supplemented by guest musicians Rosie Westbrook (double bass), JP Shilo (accordion, violin) and Xanthe Waite (backing vocals).
