Leaving the East was the least of their worries...

Although Irene and Dieter - together with their three children Wasa, Ute and Flori - have fled East Germany for the freedom of the West, their problems are not over. While Irene craves the conformity and structure of the East, Dieter has taken to the West with glee. As the two grow further apart, their children hatch a plan to make them all happy: they try to help their parents make the decision to divorce!
