Here We Go

Jody Direen was born in Mosgiel in 1989 and brought up in Wanaka, New Zealand. Music has always been a large part of her life, particularly country music. From a young age Jody was exposed to country music mainly through family and it quickly became a huge passion. After completing secondary school Jody went on to complete her tertiary education at Lincoln University, New Zealand where she graduated with a Bachelor of Agriculture. She quotes "It's the back up plan". Becoming a professional country singer/songwriter is most certainly on the top of Jody's 'to do' list.

Influenced by artists such as The Dixie Chicks, Gretchen Wilson, Shania Twain, Miranda Lambert, Bonniet Raitt and many more it is obvious Jody's genre is leaning towards country rock. Jody now presents her debut album, 'Here We Go'.
