Whitney presents her debut album 'Fly', in collaboration with renowned Dancing with the Stars pianist Carl Doy. The songs showcase this southern farm girl's extraordinary voice.

Kiwi songstress Whitney Irwin was discovered on MySpace by a Hollywood music producer when she was just 18 years old. Whitney, who is classically trained, presents her debut album 'Fly', in collaboration with renowned Dancing with the Stars pianist Carl Doy. The songs showcase this southern farm girl's extraordinary voice.

Whitney first hit headlines in 2009 when high profile American music producer Jeffery David discovered her demo songs on MySpace. Instantly impressed David invited Whitney to record in his West Hollywood studio where she recorded original songs written by his associate Scott Krippayne.

On the back of that successful collaboration Whitney then went on to record with multi-platinum and billboard chart topping producer Eddie Galan of 'High School Musical' and 'Hannah Montana' fame.

Whitney's music is influenced by Mariah Carey, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Il Divo, Brooke Fraser, Hayley Westenra and Charlotte Church.

The inspiration for her music comes from her grandmother who fought and beat cancer during the recording of her album. To help others like her grandmother, Whitney is donating three dollars from every CD sale which will go to the New Zealand Cancer Society during the month of August for Daffodil Day.

She has recently gained her ASCSM in Classical Voice with Honors from the St Cecilia School of Music in Australia and has also trained in classical piano and Speech and Drama through Trinity College London examinations. Whitney is also currently studying towards a national diploma in business.
