Philadelphia's The War on Drugs is the vehicle of Adam Granduciel - frontman, rambler, shaman, pied piper guitarist and apparent arranger-extraordinaire. Slave Ambient is The War On Drugs proper second album and is a brilliant 47-minute sprawl of rock 'n' roll - hazy, slack (but somehow still epic) psych-Americana rock jams - it's a formula the band has down, a sort of blue collar Philadelphia update of classic rock tropes set against a constant ambient thrum.
