Former Mockers frontman Andrew Fagan formed Fagan and The People in 2008. The tracks on 'Admiral of the Narrow Seas' are truly authentic and what we would expect from someone of the song writing calibre of Fagan, with their easy hooks and dark, lyrical underbelly. Whether it's the sunny melodic acoustic opening song, "Enjoy the Show", or the dark sonic driving beat and twisted theremin of "Blame Me". The first single, "Religion" begins in the vein of a dirty 60s funk/soul track with a continuous sax riff and hypnotic drums, soon surging into a cacophony of dissonant scratchy guitar as Fagan extols the virtues of knowing one's self.
