Stepping out from behind the drum kit and strumming to the beat of his solo project, Craig Terris delivers his debut album; a labor of love, finely crafted over a 3 year period.
Stepping out from behind the drum kit and strumming to the beat of his solo project, Craig Terris delivers his debut album; a labor of love, vaguely collected and finely crafted over a 3 year period.
With splashes of baroque melody and caramel lashings of alternative pop, 'Bleat You Heart Out' is an album full of catchy nuggets rubbed up with lazy confessionals and laidback mantras, recorded in between tours and recording sessions for other artists.
Joining Terris on 'Bleat Your Heart Out' are a smorgasbord of Wellington's finest musicians, ushered through the halls of his whare, Car Club studio & the essential musical incubator The Surgery.
The names rack up like a Wellington super group: Luke Buda, Thomas Watson, Annabel Alpers, Julia Deans, Will Ricketts, Phil Knight, Mia Kurghan, Jules Desmond, Toby Laing, Andrew McKenzie, Andy Christiansen, Conrad Wedde and Stephen Gallagher. Mixed by Brett Stanton and mastered by Dale Cotton.
'Bleat Your Heart Out' follows on from Terris' time as drummer/backing vocalist in laconic country outfit, Cassette. His other collaborations include drums and backing vocals in the studio and/or live with Samuel Flynn Scott and Bunnies on Ponies, Luke Buda, Bachelorette, Lawrence Arabia. Atop backing vocals on various Phoenix Foundation releases and also most recently producing new material for the Warratahs and Barry Saunders.
