The Pretty Things, one of the finest and possibly more overlooked bands of rock & roll's early days, started in Kent, England in 1963 and produced some stellar sounds over their lengthy and ever-changing lifespan. Introducing the Pretty Things collects 32 tracks from the group's earlier days, including raw R&B and garage from a more primal early period, nascent psychedelia (see the plainspoken ode to chemical mind expansion called "L.S.D."), highlights from the much-championed 1968 concept album S.F. Sorrow, and also tracks from its equally brilliant 1970 follow-up, Parachute.
