Tribal music of the Langa-Gypsies of Rajasthan played on authentic instruments: dhol, dholak, chol, harmonium... Wedding dances, flirtatious courtship songs, snake charmers' songs, songs welcoming the rainy season.
The Langa Singers
Bhatt Babulal Chunnilal (harmonium, vocals), Bhatt Raju Mangilal (vocals, harmonium), Bhatt Sureshlal Babulal (dhol, dholak, vocals) and Bhatt Anil Babulal (dholak, chol, vocals) are members of the Langa tribe, a nomadic Gypsy tribe of Rajasthan. The musicians are all related to each other and hail from a family of musicians in which for many generations the folk traditions were, and still are handed down from father to son. Their music is pure Rajasthani folk music.
