Mad Season were a supergroup of 'grunge' musician's who first garnered attention with their respective rock bands. Featuring members from Seattle rock royalty Pearl Jam (Mike McCready), Alice In Chains (The late Layne Staley) and The Screaming Trees (Barrett Martin and Mark Lanegan) as well as bassist John Baker Saunders, Mad Season managed to find some time to record one studio album.
Released on March 14, 1995 through Columbia Records, 'Above' has been certified gold by the RIAA in the United States. Layne Staley also did the album artwork on the cover.
