The release of Noah And The Whale's new album "Heart of Nowhere" follows a hugely exciting few years for the band. Noah And The Whale's album sales have topped the million mark since the release of 2011's Platinum-selling "Last Night On Earth", while touring for that record culminated in a triumphant show at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The album took shape in the early spring quiet of Osea Island, in the Blackwater Estuary, a location with limited access that provided perfect isolation for the fledgling songs. Later recording took place in the south of France, and finally at British Grove. It was produced by the band and mixed by Craig Silvey.
"Heart Of Nowhere" is a record that sounds by turns melancholy and withdrawn, and at others flushed and exuberant. There is a looseness to these songs that speaks of a band full-grown and at ease with its sound.
