The debut studio album by the Scottish singer-musician, originally released in June 2007. Features the singles 'Acceptable In the 80s', 'The Girls' and 'Merrymaking at My Place'. Writing and recording for I Created Disco started in 2006 when Harris moved back to his hometown of Dumfries, Scotland, after living in London for two years. All recording and producing for the album took place on an Amiga computer with audio tracker OctaMED in Harris's home studio, called Calvinharrisbeats Studio. All 14 tracks on the album were written, produced and performed solely by Harris.
Described as "The next globe crushing chart dance overlord?" (ID Magazine), Calvin Harris is just 23 years old and hails from Dumfries. This young Scot has made a fast track rise to the dance pioneer on everyone's lips within one year, already being compared to and tipped as the next Mylo.
'I Created Disco' is an indie dance pop masterpiece. With a nod of inspiration to classic 80s synth pop acts such as The Human League and Visage as well as today's electro leaders like Tiga and Mylo, 'I Created Disco' puts Calvin on the map as a surefire Disco God.
