Twelvefour

Melbourne based 5 piece The Paper Kites return with their sophomore album, twelvefour. Written by singer and lead songwriter Sam Bentley entirely between the hours of midnight and four in the morning, twelvefour is a concept album that explores the theory than an artist's creative peak lays within these hours.

In a pursuit to accomplish a bigger and bolder sound, the group traveled to Seattle to record with Grammy-nominated producer Phil Ek (Father John Misty, Manchester Orchestra, Fleet Foxes, The Shins). The resulting album is lush and intimate - think drum machines, dirtier guitars mixed with soulful, smooth synth moments.
