Lana del Rey's fourth album recorded between Los Angeles and New York, is more reminiscent of Born to Die rather than a follow-up to Ultraviolence. Layered vocals, decaying synths and echoing guitar lines and hints of jazz with lyrics that focus on themes of tortured romance, bitterness, lust, drugs, escapism and violence.
