Uri Caine is one of the few artists at home in jazz clubs, vaudevilles, classical concert halls, and at the opera. A knowledgeable master of both serious and light music, his artistic creativity and joy of experimentation seem unending. Through his interpretations, not only do Bach and Beethoven sound unexpectedly new, but also Gershwin, the popular songs of the Tin Pan Alley, and the great American songbook. This new CD, subtitled the Shortlist, presents highlights from 1992 2015.
