Double CD compilation from the Soul and R&B group that was one of Australasia's most popular acts of the touring circuit in the 1960s and early 70s. Forming in Christchurch in 1956 Max Merritt quickly became a favourite of the youth clubs and it wasn't long before, along with fellow southerners Ray Columbus & the Invaders, the bright lights of Auckland beckoned them.
After spending several years honing their skills in the North Island the band relocated to Australia where they gained a faithful audience and experienced chart success.
Such was the influence that Max Merritt had on future generations of Australian Soul, R&B and Rock n Roll bands, he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2008.
