A fascinating array of ancient traditional as well as modern Chinese music played on tenor and bass ruan and pipa. Miao Xiaoyun is a virtuoso player of various Chinese lutes. On some of the pieces she is accompanied by the internationally acclaimed Chinese yangqin (dulcimer) player Professor Xu Pingxin.
