Concierto de Aranjuez: Guitar Concertos

Works by Francisco Coll and Pete Harden flank Rodrigo's famous concerto

Jacob Kellermann has established himself as one of the most active Swedish guitarists of his generation. He performs regularly all over Sweden and has appeared internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, playing at a number of guitar and chamber music festivals. He has been a soloist with orchestras including the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra and Camerata S (South Korea), New European Ensemble (the Netherlands) and Norrbotten NEO (Sweden), and his concerts have been broadcast on radio and television in Sweden, German and South Korea. With an extensive repertoire that often features his own transcriptions, he is constantly searching for new expressive possibilities for the guitar. Close collaboration with numerous composers has resulted in many works written especially for him. Jacob Kellermann is also a member and co-founder of the Dutch-based New European Ensemble.

Norrbotten NEO was formed in 2007 to promote contemporary chamber music. The ensemble's seven musicians play the flute, clarinet, percussion, piano, violin, viola and cello - a complement that, in various combinations, makes it possible to perform a broad spectrum of works from the past hundred years; if required, additional musicians participate as well. The players are also section principals in the Norrbotten Chamber Orchestra and participate in performances by Piteå Chamber Opera. With the aim of supporting the development of Swedish chamber music, Norrbotten NEO regularly commissions new works, primarily from Swedish composers but also internationally.
