For centuries, Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral has cultivated a strong musical tradition. A fire in 1945 destroyed the previous organ. The replacement is an astonishingly powerful and versatile instrument with countless shades of colours that remain transparent and clearly audible. The recital includes music by Bach and Karg-Elert, Elgar's mighty Organ Sonata, and popular works in colourful arrangements that display the instrument's myriad colours.
