John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers
Blues for the Lost Days

[ Silvertone / CD ]

Release Date: Sunday 1 January 2017

As pioneer of the British "white" blues in the sixties with his band "The Bluesbreakers" John Mayall was a mentor to a lot of young musicians. To name a few, Jack Bruce & Eric Clapton (The Cream), Peter Green, John McVie & Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac), Mick Taylor (The Stones), Aynsley Dunbar and Walter Trout. On "Blues For The Lost Days" Mayall is accompanied by Texan Buddy Whittington. Buddy joined Mayall in 1993 when Coco Montoya left the "Bluesbreakers". On this 1997 album Mayall proves still to be a master bluesman the way he plays the piano and organ and of course he proves still to be a master on the harp.
