Just over a year on from her Live at The Wine Cellar EP, Tāmaki Makaurau based Louisa Nicklin's self-titled debut album hits the shelves, and we here at Marbecks couldn't be more chuffed.
Performed primarily by Louisa and bandmates Eamon Edmundson-Wells (Pixels) and Mason Fairey (Te Huhu, The Naenae Express, Green Grove), they're joined on this wonderful 9 track LP by Jong Yun Lee, Antonia Barnett-Mcintosh, Harry Falkiner and Charlotte Nicklin.
Recorded by Steven Marr at the iconic Roundhead Studios, the three singles released prior to the album proper (Water Around Her, To Be Fine and There Will Be Times) had us shortlisting the LP as one of our 2021 faves.
