Following the release of the 1988 album Viva Hate, Morrissey chose to produce a string of independent singles instead of an immediate follow-up album. Over the course of 1989 he released "The Last of the Famous International Playboys", "Interesting Drug", and "Ouija Board, Ouija Board". By the end of 1989 it was apparent that he would not be able to put out an album of new material soon enough, so he decided to scrap the idea of a full-length and released a compilation instead. That album became Bona Drag and featured those 1989 singles alongside B-sides.
Includes the songs "Piccadilly Palare", "November Spawned a Monster", "Ouija Board, Ouija Board", and "Suedehead".
