Roger Miller
King of the Road - The Best of

[ Not Now Music / 2 CD ]

It was as a songwriter that Miller was to eventually make his mark. In 1958 he got his first real break when Ray Price had a top 20 country hit with Miller's song Invitation To The Blues.

Miller also recorded as a solo artist himself, and his laid-back style and often gently humorous approach proved popular with a mass audience in the mid-1960s. Today, Miller's probably best remembered for his finger-clickin' King Of The Road.

This excellent 2-CD set gives a great introduction to Miller's vast - and unique - body of work. Warning : Your toes may tap.
