The Honeybee Rocket Scientists are an alternative surf rock indie punk grunge band from Auckland, New Zealand.

Formed in 2018 by friends Joey Vallis and Jimmy Bonar, both guys alternate on guitar drums and vocals. They love to make music: jamming, creating, writing and performing. Their influences include Nirvana, The Beatles, Soundgarden, Hendrix, Petty, The Cars and Sonic Youth.

Variation is their thing and it all works! Joey's hardout guitar playing and mellow drum style is forged together with emotion, passion and intensity. He takes no prisoners with his guitar. This is countered by Jimmy's heart n soul approach with a no frills guitar sound and solid backbeat. He's an unashamed Beatles nut!
