Dig, his first new collection of original material in over 7 years, features 11 tracks comprised of Scaggs' most assured and accessible collection since the 1976 landmark, Silk Degrees.

While firmly rooted in his abiding love for R&B, Dig seamlessly integrates touches of jazz, rock and hip-hop. The result is a stylistic tour de force that showcases the artist's skills as a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist as well as his gift for synthesizing diverse musical elements.

Produced by Danny Kortchmar and David Paich (who collaborated with Scaggs on Silk Degrees), the record features a stellar cast of supporting musicians including Kortchmar on guitar along with Ray Parker Jr., bassist Nathan East, keyboardists Paich and Greg Phillinganes, percussionist/drummer Robin DiMaggio, backing vocals by Monet, and Roy Hargrove Jr. on horns.
