The Auckland-based four-piece present their debut album, featuring the Silver Scroll nominated single "Everyone's Asleep", as well as radio favourites "Moss Haired Girl" and "So You Say".
Since their inception in 2008, Auckland-based four-piece Clap Clap Riot have played the Big Day Out, Splore, Rhythm & Vines twice, as well as racking up international support slots, and touring both New Zealand and Australia alongside artists The Naked And Famous, Birds of Tokyo, The Datsuns, The Checks, Cut Off Your Hands. And, now finally their debut album is here...
Recorded between Auckland's York Street Studios and Studio 203 with engineering maestro Andrew Buckton (Crowded House, Supergroove and The D4), 'Counting Spins' features the Silver Scroll nominated single "Everyone's Asleep", as well as radio favourites "Moss Haired Girl" and "So You Say". Clocking in at 39 minutes, 'Counting Spins' is an unadulterated balls to the wall, frenzied, rock'n'roll party right through until the outro of "Everywhere I Go", bringing the listener back into a state of melancholic bliss.
This is an explosion of honest pop songs masquerading as a dirty rock band.
